Jones Day represented the University of Notre Dame in defending against an Establishment Clause challenge to AmeriCorps funding received by Notre Dame education students providing secular services in parochial schools, culminating in a favorable decision by the D.C. Circuit. The case involved novel and important issues regarding the meaning and significance of neutrality and private choice in the Establishment Clause context.
