Union Pacific Railroad successfully defends against action involving insurance coverage of contractor's employee
Clients Union Pacific Railroad
Jones Day represented Union Pacific Railroad in an insurance litigation matter after Union Pacific and its contractor M Bar D were sued by United National Insurance for declaratory judgment regarding the coverage of injuries to M Bar D's employee. We achieved a settlement resulting in M Bar D paying United National and providing services to Union Pacific at reduced charges on a going-forward basis to compensate Union Pacific for its attorney's fees. Union Pacific paid nothing as part of the settlement.
