Spring Group receives advice on enforceability of restrictive covenants

Jones Day advised Spring Group Plc on the enforcement of restrictive covenants in employment contracts. The client is a U.K. quoted recruitment and staffing company. Having acquired a business, some of the senior employees in that business then sought to leave and set up in competition, seeking to take clients with them. Jones Day advised the client on the interpretation and enforcement of post-termination restrictive covenants contained in the employment contracts of the relevant individuals. As a result, the client was able to protect the business from the wrongful attempts to solicit clients away.
