SOS Security defend against a California wage and hour putative class action

Jones Day is representing SOS Security Incorporated, a nationwide provider of security guard services, in a California wage and hour putative class action. Plaintiffs allege several California Labor Code violations, including meal and rest break, waiting time, wage statement, minimum wage, overtime and vacation pay violations. Plaintiffs also allege failure to compensate security guards for pre-shift "off-the-clock" work, and unfair competition under Section 17200. Defendants recently removed one of the cases to federal court under CAFA.
