Pfizer defends against multiplaintiff cases involving claims for severance benefits under ERISA

Jones Day defended Pfizer, Inc. in two federal court cases brought by executives who sought payments under a change-in-control severance plan based on the divestiture of the division for which they are employed. The plaintiffs asserted claims under ERISA's benefits and fiduciary duties provisions.
