JPMorgan Chase completes IPO for HK$844.9 million of Ordinary Shares and Rule 144A and Regulation S offering by Centron Telecom

Clients JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.

Jones Day represented JPMorgan as Global Coordinator and Underwriter in the HK$844.9 million (US$108 million) initial public offering and listing of Centron Telecom International Holding Limited, a Shenzhen based mobile communication infrastructure equipment manufacturer and wireless coverage solution provider. China's largest mobile telecommunications companies, including China Mobile, China Telecom and China Netcom, are among Centron's customers for its telecommunications network products.

The transaction represented the first time that Jones Day was counsel to JPMorgan in a public offering in the Greater China region, and was also significant in that Jones Day represented JPMorgan as both U.S. and Hong Kong counsel. Unlike in the United States, in a Hong Kong initial public offering, counsel to the underwriters is charged with all filings, response to comments and other interactions with the Stock Exchange and the Securities and Futures Commission.
