Hospira resolves breach of contract action to supply 100 million baby bottle nipples to Brazilian subsidiary of major pharmaceutical company

Jones Day represented Hospira, Inc. as the plaintiff in a breach of contract action involving a committed volume contract to supply 100 million baby bottle nipples to the Brazilian subsidiary of a major pharmaceutical company. The case was resolved after service of the complaint was perfected via the Inter-American Convention on Letters Rogatory, a process which took three years and involved several appeals by the defendant to the Brazilian Higher Court of Justice.
