Galileo Funds and Arcadis Capital acquire twenty-one property portfolio

Jones Day represented Galileo Funds Management and Arcadis Capital in the Yen 60 billion acquisition of a portfolio of twenty-one properties by Galileo Japan Trust ("GJT"). GJT, an Australian-listed property trust, which was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on December 18, 2006.

The Tokyo office also established a structure including three tokumei kumiais (silent partnerships) and advised upon purchase and sale agreements between two purchasers and ten sellers from six seller groups, as well as asset management agreements with Secured Capital and Nippon Kanzai and three loan facilities with Shinsei Bank. The structure permits GJT to create additional, separately financed, portfolios.
