Federated sells Bridal Group division to Leonard Green and The Men's Wearhouse

Jones Day advised Federated Department Stores, Inc., (now known as Macy's) in the $850 million sale of its Bridal Group division to Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. and The Men's Wearhouse, Inc. Los Angeles-based Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. has agreed to purchase the 269-store David's Bridal and 10-store Priscilla of Boston businesses for approximately $750 million. Houston-based The Men's Wearhouse, Inc., has agreed to purchase the 511-store After Hours Formalwear business, which includes Mr. Tux stores in New England, for approximately $100 million.

In addition to M&A representation, Jones Day provided antitrust (with clearance by the Federal Trade Commission), environmental, private equity, real estate, and tax advice regarding this transaction.
