Latvian NGO receives assistance regarding the loss and re-gain of legal capacity for people with mental disabilities

Jones Day Milan is assisting Zelda (Resource Center for Mental Disability), a Latvian NGO which promotes de-institutionalization and development of community-based mental health care services for people with mental disabilities through research, monitoring, legal advocacy and activities of informing as well as educating the public. In particular, Jones Day is assisting Zelda in order to analyze the best practices in Italy with the aim of supporting Zelda's application to the Constitutional Court in order to challenge the current Latvian civil law provisions on loss and re-gain of legal capacity.
