Yvette McGee Brown named to Crain's Cleveland Business' "Notable Executives in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion" for 2022

Crain's Cleveland Business has named the Honorable Yvette McGee Brown, the Firm's Partner-in-Charge of Diversity, Inclusion & Advancement, to the publication's list of "Notable Executives in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion" for 2022. Crain's awards executives with this distinction based on a track record of success in the field and the effectiveness of their efforts, service as a role model or mentor to others, promotion of inclusive practices in the workplace, and leadership in professional organizations and civic/community service initiatives.

Ms. McGee Brown is in the Firm's Business & Tort Litigation Practice. She advises clients facing government scrutiny, including police misconduct, discrimination, disparate impact, Title IX, and internal investigations. Her perspective on complex legal matters is honed from her experience both before and behind trial and appellate court benches. Her 11 years as a jurist were highlighted by her service as the first Black female justice on the Ohio Supreme Court. She defends clients in complex litigation, employment matters, and appellate matters involving a variety of issues and industries.

During the recent nomination process for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, Ms. McGee Brown was a frequent on-air analyst for ABC News and wrote about the nomination for Bloomberg Law.
