Scott Levine among six inaugural recipients of D.C. Bar's Trailblazer Awards

Scott Levine, a partner in Jones Day's Tax Practice, is among the six lawyers chosen by the D.C. Bar to receive its inaugural "Trailblazer Awards." The awards recognize leadership in the lawyers' respective areas of practice, excellence in their professional and personal lives, and dedication to the mission of the D.C. Bar. The recipients will be honored at the D.C. Bar Celebration of Leadership Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on June 23.

Mr. Levine advises on the tax aspects of corporate transactions. He also has negotiated private letter rulings with the Internal Revenue Service in the corporate, international, financial instruments, and energy tax credit areas. He serves as an adjunct professor of law at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. and the International Tax Center at Leiden University in the Netherlands, where he teaches courses on corporate and international taxation. He frequently lectures and participates as a panelist at programs for the ABA, D.C. Bar, International Fiscal Association (IFA), Tax Executives Institute (TEI), Southern Federal Tax Institute (SFTI), and other organizations and universities addressing a wide range of tax-related topics. Mr. Levine is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel.
