Jones Day welcomes Jennifer Bennett as a partner to Firm's Intellectual Property Practice in San Francisco

The global firm Jones Day announces that Jennifer Bennett has joined the Firm's Intellectual Property Practice as a partner in its San Francisco Office.

Ms. Bennett has extensive experience advising global technology and life sciences companies in complex high-stakes patent and trade secret litigation. Her significant experience includes jury trial and litigation experience in patent disputes relating to biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, optical networking technologies, machine learning, and plants. Her experience reaches across key jurisdictions including in the U.S. District Courts in California, Texas, Delaware, Washington, and the International Trade Commission, as well as international arbitration experience involving intellectual property relating to health care claim adjudication. 

"Jennifer's IP litigation experience in the Northern District of California cuts across numerous important technologies, which makes her an excellent addition to our California-based litigation team," said Anthony M. Ms. Bennett's practice expands beyond patent litigation to other forms of IP as well as transactions on complex technologies, with a particular emphasis on biopharmaceuticals, plants, medical devices, machine learning, information technology, software applications, electronics, telecommunications, and LED technology. Ms. Bennett is a registered patent attorney in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Her bar and court admissions include California and all four U.S. District Courts in California.

Ms. Bennett has written extensively about patent issues and been a featured speaker at IP summits. At an IP Strategy Summit on Patent Enforcement in Palo Alto, she delivered the presentation "Likely Defenses Presented When Enforcing Your Patents Against Competitors: Moves and Counter-Moves." Ms. Bennett is a graduate of the Santa Clara University School of Law and is proficient in Spanish.
