Jones Day named Finalist for Texas Litigation Department of the Year
Jones Day was among three firms recognized as finalists for The American Lawyer's Texas Litigation Department of the Year award. The recognition is part of the 2021 American Lawyer Industry Awards.
Jones Day's litigators in Dallas and Houston led litigation critical to the asset-backed securitization industry, achieved an important precedent-setting victory related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and defended the first antitrust allegations in connection with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. The Firm has more than 70 litigators in Texas representing clients on their most significant, complex, and bet-the-company matters related to commercial, intellectual property, and employment litigation in federal and state courts throughout the United States, and internal and government investigations in Texas, Mexico, and around the world.
The American Lawyer's annual industry awards program honors firms and individuals that clients turned to, "in search of answers to their most pressing problems," and the " … firms (that) showed up time and time again with novel solutions, preserving civil rights and corporate livelihoods all the same."
