Nine Jones Day lawyers named "BTI M&A Client Service All-Stars"
Nine Jones Day lawyers were named 2021 M&A Client Service All-Stars in the BTI Consulting Group's survey of corporate counsel and other legal services decision makers.
Survey participants identified the seven behaviors for M&A All-Stars that drive superior client service as Nimble ("… move and change based on known and unknown events …"); Pragmatic ("… feet are firmly on the ground and they deal with reality …"); Anticipate ("… look way ahead, create scenarios in their minds, and play things out with clients in multiple ways so they are ready for whatever comes next."); See Forest and Trees ("… eye on the detail and the big picture—not letting one interfere with the other."); Always Communicating ("Keeping clients in the loop is key—silence kills client confidence."); Confident ("There is no room for doubt—or at least any doubt showing to the client."); and Don’t Give Up ("Any obstacle is just something else to overcome—and quickly.”).

The BTI M&A Client Service All-Stars are selected on an unprompted basis from more than 350 legal decision makers at the world's leading organizations, representing more than 15 industry segments. The interviews were conducted between March 20, 2020 and July 16, 2021, and the legal decision makers interviewed included general counsel/chief legal officers, direct reports to general counsel, and other legal decision makers from organizations with $1 billion or more in annual revenue.
Previously, Jones Day was named among BTI's M&A Powerhouse law firms for being one of "the leading law firms best suited to meet the transactional needs of clients." Earlier this year the Firm earned "Most Recommended" status—for the 19th consecutive year—in BTI's "Most Recommended Law Firms" report for 2021. BTI has ranked Jones Day #1 in its "Client Service A-Team" survey for each of the past five years, and among the "Fearsome Foursome"—the law firms that clients would least like to see as opposing counsel—in its "BTI Litigation Outlook 2021" report.
