PLI's Annual Disclosure Documents 2020: Current Developments and Best Practices

This program will highlight the crucial changes and updates over the past year in disclosure requirements. A faculty of experienced practitioners from law firms and publicly traded companies will break down regulatory developments and the practical and useful best practices attorneys need to have when working with disclosure documents.

Faculty will review corporate finance and executive compensation developments and address the best practices for attorneys advising clients on the SEC's most pressing concerns. Participants will learn about nontraditional and emerging disclosure developments, with an emphasis on trends in ESG and the impact of social media on disclosures. A thorough ethics segment will conclude the day, addressing the issues connected with whistleblower activity and the varying roles attorneys play for their clients when handling disclosure documents.

Joan McKown, a Securities Litigation & SEC Enforcement partner resident in the Firm's Washington Office, will discuss learnings from enforcement and the impact on disclosure practices and challenges to be aware of when preparing and reviewing disclosure documents.

This program will be of interest to attorneys, accountants, and others responsible for preparing public company disclosures.
