Jones Day partner Joan McKown Named to Securities Docket’s "Enforcement 40"

Jones Day partner Joan McKown has been recognized by Securities Docket as one of their "Enforcement 40." The Enforcement 40 list honors the most skilled and experienced securities enforcement defense attorneys in the industry, and the ones best qualified to handle bet-the-company matters. The “Enforcement 40” was created in 2013, and updated in 2017 and 2020.

Ms. McKown has more than 30 years of experience in SEC enforcement and financial regulatory matters, including investigations, exams, internal investigations, and disputes throughout the United States. She has in-depth knowledge of investigatory issues relating to financial fraud, corporate disclosure, corporate governance, accounting, compliance, private equity, FCPA, broker dealer, investment adviser, investment companies, and insider trading. She represents corporations, and financial services firms, and their officers, directors, and employees, counseling them to avoid regulatory scrutiny, and when necessary, resolving matters on the best terms possible.

Ms. McKown also recently served on The Bharara Task Force on Insider Trading, an elite group of eight leaders on insider trading laws who reviewed and assessed the current state of insider trading regulation.
