Hilda Galvan to serve as distinguished speaker at Texas Instruments' Hispanic Heritage Month program

Hilda Galvan, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Dallas Office, will serve as the distinguished speaker at Texas Instruments' UNIDOS! Program in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month on September 17. The annual program celebrates diversity, Hispanic culture, and the accomplishments of key leaders in the Dallas community. The organizers of the event chose Ms. Galvan to speak in part because she was the first Hispanic to serve as Chair of the Dallas Regional Chamber Board of Directors. UNIDOS! was formed to provide professional development, community involvement, and networking opportunities for Latinx and Hispanic employees at Texas Instruments.

Ms. Galvan, a nationally recognized trial lawyer, focuses on complex intellectual property litigation. She represents plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts across the country and in the International Trade Commission. She has litigated more than 100 patent cases, including more than 50 in the Eastern District of Texas.

Ms. Galvan has a long record of service to the community and nonprofit organizations. In addition to her previous role as Chair of the Board of the Dallas Regional Chamber, she has served as: a trustee for the University of Texas Law School Foundation and Dallas Theater Center; a board member of the Texas Women's Foundation, Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation, and Parkland Hospital Foundation; and member of the Executive Committee for the Center for Women in the Law.
