Rémy Fekete, a partner in Jones Day's Government Regulation Practice based in the Firm's Paris Office, was ranked the "Best Lawyer for Sovereigns" and among the top 20 of the "100 Business Lawyers of 2019" by Jeune Afrique Business+, the first digital economic information service for decision-makers active in Africa.
Jones Day's Africa practice is widely recognized for its key role throughout the African continent. It includes more than 50 lawyers dedicated to the development of digital networks and services, renewable energy, oil and gas, mining, transportation, and financial services in Africa. The Firm advises on regulation, financing, restructuring, M&A, licensing, concessions, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and international litigation and arbitration. The honorees were selected by Jeune Afrique Business+ based on 350 submissions evaluated against several criteria, including number of matters from early 2019 to early 2020, geographical diversity, financial value of transactions, or complexity of matters.
