
Jones Day partner Kaarli Eichhorn Named Vice-Chair of AmCham EU
Kaarli Eichhorn, a partner in Jones Day’s Antitrust & Competition Law Practice based in the Firm’s Brussels Office, has been named Vice-Chair and Member of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU).
AmCham EU speaks for American companies committed to Europe on trade, investment, and competitiveness issues. Among the most influential business organizations in Brussels, it comprises almost 160 companies from a broad range of sectors and plays a key role in creating a better understanding of EU and U.S. positions on business matters.
Mr. Eichhorn has worked on a significant number of high-profile and politically sensitive merger and antitrust matters globally for almost 20 years. He has substantial experience in competition law, international regulation, and government affairs, including legislative advocacy, foreign investment screening, and sanctions. He is a non-governmental advisor at the International Competition Network, former vice chair of the In-House Counsel Competition Counsel Association, and member of the BusinessEurope Competition Committee. Prior to joining Jones Day, Mr. Eichhorn served as Global Executive Counsel – Competition Law & Policy at General Electric Company.
He has held leadership roles at AmCham EU and was a member of the board of European Justice Forum for several years.
