Craig Friedman begins term as Chair of Atlanta Bar Labor and Employment Law Section

Craig Friedman, a partner in Jones Day's Labor & Employment Practice, became Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section in June 2020.

The Labor and Employment Law Section focuses attention on all areas of labor/management, employee/employer relationships through luncheons involving speakers from courts, government agencies, and practicing attorneys; an annual full day seminar on advanced issues in employment and labor law; and other activities.

Mr. Friedman is a leader in the defense of employment class actions, including wage-and-hour litigation, and has secured victories around the nation on behalf of clients. He also represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters, including lawsuits brought under the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Employment Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, and various state laws.

In addition to his role as Chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the Atlanta Bar Association, Mr. Friedman is active on the board of directors of the JDRF Georgia Chapter.
