Cherine Foty elected to the Board of Directors of ArbitralWomen

Cherine Foty, a Global Disputes associate in Jones Day's Paris Office, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of ArbitralWomen for the 2020-2022 term. She previously served on the Young ArbitralWomen Steering Committee before being elected to the Board.

ArbitralWomen is an international non-governmental organization for the promotion of women and diversity in international dispute resolution. Over the past 27 years, ArbitralWomen has developed programs and provided opportunities to support and promote women in international dispute resolution as well as serving as a leader in efforts to overcome gender bias in the legal profession.

Other Jones Day lawyers active in ArbitralWomen include Vanessa Foncke, partner in the Brussels Office, and Ileana Smeureanu, an associate in the Paris Office who served two terms on the Board of Directors. The Firm has shown support for the organization by hosting events in its London and Paris offices.
