We are delighted he will join us in London, where we have our largest concentration of cross-border arbitration and litigation lawyers," said Gregory Shumaker, who leads Jones Day's Global Disputes Practice.
Mr. Pickavance's recent client work includes representing a consortium of global oil majors in relation to a $40 billion LNG project in British Columbia, Canada, acting for a global power plant manufacturer in relation to a €50 million LCIA international arbitration arising out damage caused by an explosion to a power plant and for a heavy lifting international engineering firm in relation to an ICC international arbitration arising out of the construction of the 'Chernobyl Arch' in the Ukraine.
"James has nearly two decades of experience deftly handling disputes around the world. His arrival will strengthen the Firm's already rich talent pool of lawyers, and he will be a great asset to our clients as they maneuver through the complex disputes process," said John Phillips, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's London Office.
