The legal landscape of college sports is constantly evolving. Recent significant developments include “pay-for-play” antitrust and labor law challenges to the NCAA’s amateurism model; legislative debate concerning the commercialization of name, image, and likeness rights; health and safety concerns manifesting in nationwide football concussion litigation; and criminal proceedings involving NCAA rules violations and admissions fraud. The Cardozo School of Law will host a conversation with Jones Day lawyers across multiple practice areas and disciplines to discuss current legal issues impacting college sports programs and student-athletes.  A reception will follow the program.
