Jones Day to Chair First “Antitrust TX” Conference in Houston

Jones Day will chair the first "Antitrust TX" conference, to be held on Tuesday, September 24, in Houston. Bruce McDonald, a partner in Jones Day's Antitrust & Competition Law Practice, will serve as chair of the event.

Historically the energy capital of North America, Texas now attracts businesses in many major industries, each facing the challenges of a changing antitrust landscape. Now more than ever, Texas companies, many of them key players in energy, tech, healthcare, transport, and manufacturing, need good antitrust counsel.

Presented by an outstanding faculty of inside and outside counsel, this event provides company counsel and compliance officers a great opportunity to learn more about how antitrust plays out in Texas industries. The conference will cover global competition law developments, compliance best practices, the effects of declining oil prices and cost reduction efforts on antitrust in the energy industry, recent enforcement actions and litigation in healthcare, and IP and antitrust in tech sectors.
