Chris DiPompeo, a partner in Jones Day's Issues & Appeals and Business Restructuring & Reorganization practices in the Firm's Washington Office, was named a "D.C. Rising Star" by the National Law Journal. The Rising Star awards recognize the region’s 40 most promising lawyers age 40 and younger who have wielded influence in their practice areas in the D.C. area and beyond. This year's list included 40 lawyers chosen as 2019 D.C. Rising Stars by an outside panel of experts.

Mr. DiPompeo focuses on complex litigation and appellate advocacy in the context of business restructurings and chapter 11 bankruptcies. He regularly counsels clients in connection with issues relating to bankruptcy jurisdiction and venue, the automatic stay, post-petition financing, and complex commercial contracts. Mr. DiPompeo has significant experience across a variety of industries, including financial services, government contracts, gaming, and municipal government. He also has an active and varied pro bono practice and has qualified for the DC Bar Pro Bono High Honor Roll each year from 2015 through 2018.
