Jones Day's Robert Profusek foresees limited impact from midterms on M&A
Mr. Profusek pointed to protectionism and volatility, not the midterms, as the biggest headwinds against M&A, but stressed that the relentless pressures of globalization and technology assure a very healthy M&A market. If anything, he noted, these pressures are accelerating, meaning "companies that just stand still and count on their asset base – you can argue that they are going out of business day by day."
