Duke Law School 1L Sharing Affinities: A Diversity Evening

Jones Day sponsored and attended the Duke Law School 1L Sharing Affinities reception on November 8, 2018. Participating employers were invited to send representatives to discuss with Duke 1L students why diversity and inclusion matters to their organization, as well as relevant initiatives at their organization.

Diversity is part of the educational mission at Duke Law School. The administration believes that the educational experience of its students is demonstrably enriched by an exchange of ideas and experiences among students, faculty, staff, and alumni who contribute diverse perspectives. "The age, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, cultural backgrounds, educational experience, political perspectives, work experience, and physical ability or disability of each member of our community offer opportunities for us to deepen our understanding of our society and our roles as lawyers, leaders, and public servants."
