Rasha Gerges Shields to Receive California Minority Counsel Program’s Law Firm Diversity Leader Award
Rasha Gerges Shields, a partner in Jones Day's Los Angeles Office, will receive the California Minority Council Program's "Deborah J. Broyles Law Firm Diversity Leader Award" at the CMCP's 2018 conference in San Francisco on October 12.
The annual award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated "strong leadership qualities and significant achievements in promoting diversity at his/her firm" and "a personal commitment to the letter and spirit of CMCP’s mission of diversifying the bar, including the mentoring and development of minority business attorneys."
Ms. Shields, a partner in the Firm's Business & Tort Litigation Practice who serves on Jones Day's Diversity, Inclusion & Advancement Committee, is a former federal prosecutor and an experienced first-chair trial and appellate lawyer.
The California Minority Counsel Program is a California non-profit mutual benefit corporation, dedicated to promoting diversity in the legal profession by providing attorneys of color with access and opportunity for business and professional development.
