Jones Day Partner Receives CMCP Law Firm Diversity Leader Award

On October 12, 2018, the California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP) recognized Jones Day Los Angeles partner, Rasha Gerges Shields with its Law Firm Diversity Leader Award.

The honor is awarded annually to an individual who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. To be considered for the CMCP Deborah J. Broyles Law Firm Diversity Leader Award, an individual must:

  • Be a lawyer at a CMCP member majority-owned law firm at the time of the award decision
  • Have sustained active involvement in CMCP and/or other diversity organizations
  • Have demonstrated strong leadership qualities and significant achievements in promoting diversity at his/her firm
  • Have demonstrated a personal commitment to the letter and spirit of CMCP’s mission of diversifying the bar, including the mentoring and development of minority business attorneys
