Bob Profusek, Global Chair of Jones Day's M&A Practice, discussed the global outlook for mergers and acquisitions on "Bloomberg Surveillance" on July 3, 2018.

Mr. Profusek pointed to an increase in the number of transactions involving adjacent businesses and mega deals as the hallmarks of current M&A activity. While single-industry deals reflect the need for scale, transactions in adjacent businesses reflect the pressure of technology.
