Three Jones Day partners named to Latinvex’s 2018 list of the "Top 100 Female Lawyers" in Latin America
Three Jones Day partners have been named to Latinvex's 2018 list of the "Top 100 Female Lawyers” in Latin America. The list, compiled by the editorial staff of Latinvex, highlights the top female lawyers with a practice focus in Latin America, based on independent research, proven track records of success, and third party rankings and recognitions.
The Jones Day partners recognized are:
- María Luisa Cánovas, New York, has a diverse corporate practice focused on cross-border M&A, infrastructure M&A, joint ventures, private equity, and financings. Ms. Cánovas has been named to this list each year since 2012.
- Silvia Malagón, Mexico City, has more than 20 years of experience providing advice on corporate law related to capital markets, mutual and pension funds, and Mexican banks and brokerage firms. Ms. Malagón has been named to this list each year since 2013.
- Fradyn Suárez, Miami, focuses on cross-border finance, advising banks, lenders, and borrowers in connection with corporate and project finance transactions involving Latin America and the Caribbean. This is the fourth consecutive year Ms. Suárez has been named to this list.
