Children’s Law Center honors Jones Day with 2017 Champions for Children Award
Jones Day is one of the Children’s Law Center’s 2017 Champions for Children award recipients.
The Champions for Children Campaign is an annual fundraising competition led by the Children’s Law Center’s Advisory Board, a group of more than 30 up-and-coming leaders at law firms and corporations in Washington, D.C. The Firm won the "champion" designation by raising more than other firms with 250 or more lawyers in D.C.
Judges, pediatricians, and families turn to the Children’s Law Center to advocate for children in the District who are abused or neglected, who aren’t learning in school, or who have health problems that can’t be solved by medicine alone.
Jones Day has been a dedicated pro bono partner of the Children’s Law Center for more than a decade. Through the Jones Day Foundation, the Firm supports the Center's medical-legal partnership work. The Center presented Jones Day with its "Pro Bono Champion" award in 2011, in recognition of the Firm's advocacy on behalf of children in the District.
