Jones Day names two new partners in Germany
The global law firm Jones Day today announced that Christian A. Krebs (Frankfurt) and Dr. Markus Weber (Düsseldorf), both lawyers in the Firm's M&A Practice, have been named to the Firm's partnership, effective January 1, 2018.
Mr. Krebs and Dr. Weber are among a group of 39 Jones Day lawyers worldwide admitted to the Firm's partnership.

Mr. Krebs has in-depth experience in international mergers and acquisitions of private and public companies as well as corporate and securities law. He counsels German and international corporate clients, private equity sponsors and financial institutions. Among others, he earned degrees from Harvard Law School, University of Warwick and Université de Lille. Mr. Krebs is resident in Frankfurt and has worked in New York, Buenos Aires and Brussels, among other places. He frequently publishes on M&A and corporate law matters.
Dr. Weber advises German and international private and public clients in complex transactions, joint ventures, and general corporate and securities law matters, including corporate governance and compliance issues. Dr. Weber earned his Dr. jur. from University of Trier. He is resident in Düsseldorf and has worked in Frankfurt, London and San Francisco. Dr. Weber is co-author of a standard commentary on the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG) and a standard work on M&A, and frequently publishes on M&A and corporate law matters.
