As a U.S. attorney with more than 15 years of experience practicing in Germany, Sabine Weiss advises companies in U.S. and European M&A transactions. She represents clients in a wide variety of industries and provides advice on stock and asset purchases, divestitures, acquisition financings, and joint ventures. In addition, Sabine has significant experience in internal and governmental investigations for global clients in multijurisdictional proceedings, with a particular focus on high-profile matters in the automotive industry. She also has represented issuers and investment banks in global public offerings of debt securities and advises European clients regarding a range of U.S. securities law matters.
Sabine was recently involved in advising DPD GeoPost (Deutschland) GmbH, a subsidiary of La Poste S.A., in its acquisition of DPD Systemlogistic GmbH & Co. KG from a member of the Royal Mail Group Limited. Other recent representations include Mitsui Chemicals in its acquisition of the dental business of Heraeus Holding GmbH, Nexteer Automotive in connection with its successful Hong Kong IPO, and The Sherwin-Williams Company in its acquisition of Becker Acroma SAS, a Swedish company with operations in more than 20 countries.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Sabine practiced in New York for several years, counseling U.S. and international clients in cross-border business combinations, with a particular focus on clients in the entertainment and media fields.
