Ian Wright represents public and private companies on cross-border commercial transactions, including M&A, divestitures, joint ventures, and licensing matters. He also advises international companies on establishing and maintaining operations in Japan and Japanese companies on anticorruption risks related to outbound M&A.
Ian's experience covers a wide range of business sectors, including life sciences, technology, energy, and manufacturing. From 2009 until 2011, Ian worked as in-house counsel at a multinational health care company supporting its pharmaceutical subsidiary in Japan.
Ian has practiced law in Japan for more than 10 years. His prior professional experience includes work in the corporate and securities department of an international law firm in the United States. Ian is a graduate of the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies in Yokohama, Japan and works comfortably with clients in both Japanese and English.
