With more than a decade of experience, Jackie Vallette represents clients in securities matters ranging from high-stakes investigations and government enforcement proceedings to routine risk management. Jackie's investigatory and advisory work is well complemented by a strong litigation practice. She regularly defends companies and individuals throughout the United States in securities class actions, derivative actions, and M&A litigation. Her experience spans across a range of industries and includes representation of public and private companies in the technology, education, health care, consumer products, financial services, and energy sectors. Previously based in Northern California, Jackie also has experience advising start-ups and other young companies.

Jackie also has extensive experience defending clients facing prosecution by state attorneys general and municipalities and serves as one of the Firm's primary resources on the strategic considerations specific to these matters. Recently, Jackie co-led discussions with a multistate group of attorneys general related to consumer-facing conduct to preserve cooperation credit for one of the world's 10 biggest companies. Jackie's broad experience in securities matters enables her to regularly counsel clients on best corporate compliance practices and the mitigation of risk in dealmaking.

Jackie also devotes time to pro bono matters, including a recent success for a client from Honduras who was permitted to pursue her asylum claim after novel arguments presented to a federal court led to informal resolution of her case. She serves on the Houston Office's diversity committee and is the hiring partner for the Houston Office.
