Emily Vale works on resolving complex commercial disputes for clients across a range of jurisdictions. Her experience includes acting for global pharmaceutical companies in proceedings brought by the Commonwealth government, a financial institution in defence of a class action, and financial institutions in the successful defence of an action brought by a former employee regarding superannuation entitlements. She also has experience in government inquiries.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Emily was the associate to the Honourable Justice Philippides of the Supreme Court of Queensland and worked as a legal officer for the Barrett Adolescent Centre Commission of Inquiry.
Emily is an assistant general editor and personalia editor of the Australian Law Journal and was previously a member of the editorial board of the UK Supreme Court Yearbook.
