Berta Viqueira focuses her practice on white collar crimes and internal company investigations. She has earned a reputation as a distinguished trial lawyer for legal strategy in numerous high-profile criminal proceedings. In addition her experience as an investigator covers a wide range of areas, including representing national and international companies in charges of corruption, trade secrets, embezzlement, health-related fraud, and unfair competition. Berta has been recommended among the top Spanish advisors in white collar crime by The Legal 500 and Best Lawyers.

Berta advises clients, in particular companies, and individuals in criminal disputes involving fraud, corporate, market and consumer, planning, and privacy offenses and money laundering and corruption in the public and private sectors. She represents clients, both on the complainant side and on the defendant side, from preliminary proceedings up to trial and subsequent appeal. Since the beginning of her professional career, Berta has focused on litigation and has extensive experience in fundamental rights.

Berta also represents and advises multinational companies, boards of directors, and senior management in internal, national, and international investigations. She works closely with clients to create strategies to quickly and efficiently resolve investigations in highly confidential matters in a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, energy, infrastructure, and financial institutions.

Berta co-leads the pro bono practice in the Madrid Office.
