Jasper Tran advises and represents well-known global technology and pharmaceutical companies in complex litigation and transactional matters. As a technical generalist, he has litigated competitor patent and trade secret cases involving emerging technologies ranging from semiconductors and software to medical devices and pharmaceuticals. He is experienced in all phases of litigation through trial and appeal. Additionally, he has drafted agreements and conducted due diligence related to the acquisition and licensing of intellectual property assets.
Jasper has written for Indiana Law Journal, Iowa Law Review, Harvard Journal of Law & Technology, Yale Journal of Law & Technology, IEEE Annals, among others. He serves on the editorial board of PTAB Bar Association Law Journal and blogs at the Firm's PTAB Litigation Blog. He was a Google Policy Fellow and a Humphrey Policy Fellow.
Prior to his legal career, Jasper researched nanostructures for organic solar cells at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
