Valerie Stacey focuses on high-stakes and complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts across the United States. She has worked diligently to represent clients from many industries on a variety of significant cases, including Ponzi scheme and fraud-related cases, residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) disputes, and cases involving breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
Before joining Jones Day in 2022, Valerie was the lead associate on a number of high-profile, multimillion and multibillion dollar cases. She worked closely with experienced first-chair trial lawyers on these cases nearly every day for years and gained invaluable experience in almost every area of litigation. Those areas include strategy development, fact and expert discovery, research and drafting briefs of all kinds, motion practice including dispositive motions, and trial preparation.
