Mamoun Shafi has broad experience acting for private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, corporate borrowers, and financial institutions in complex cross-border leveraged acquisitions, syndicated lending, corporate credit facilities, and general banking matters.

Mamoun has recently acted on the borrower side for, among others, Inflexion Private Equity Partners, The Riverside Company, Pantheon Ventures, Ted Baker plc, Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, U. S. Steel Corporation, Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund Limited, and syncreon America. On the lender side Mamoun has acted for OakNorth Bank, Bank of America, JP Morgan, and Canada Imperial Bank of Commerce.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Mamoun acted for Searchlight Capital, Platinum Equity, PAI Partners, Freshstream, Wendel, and various prominent financial institutions. He also served secondment assignments with Aberdeen Standard Investments and Scottish Widows.
