Bianca Schmid joined our New Lawyers Group (NLG) in 2020. The NLG provides our newest lawyers with the opportunity to gain exposure to different practice areas and lawyering styles before making a commitment to a specific practice. Individuals in the NLG may focus on a particular area of practice, or compare practices, during their first year with Jones Day. Bianca will be focusing on intellectual property law, particularly in the areas of national and international patent litigation and data privacy.
Prior to earning her second state exam, Bianca served as a legal trainee and intern. During this time she gained practical experience at the compliance and data privacy department of a global lighting manufacturer in Munich and in Boston, Massachusetts, where she worked on compliance, data privacy, and M&A projects.
