Jan Schlüter's practice focuses on internal investigations, white collar crime, civil litigation, and directors and officers (D&O) liability. Jan has significant experience in complex, cross-border compliance investigations involving a variety of issues, including corruption, bribery, fraud, embezzlement, and other issues that have a high-financial and reputational impact on a company.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Jan worked for three years as a legal clerk at one of Germany's leading boutique law firms in the areas of criminal compliance, white collar defense, and internal investigations. He also gained in-house experience during a six-month client secondment with the corporate compliance and legal affairs team at a leading global industry company based in Germany. During his clerkship, Jan also worked for international law firms in Frankfurt and Washington D.C.
