Chapin Scaggs' practice covers a range of financing arrangements involving secured and unsecured credit facilities, acquisition financing, cash flow and asset-based lending, and alternative financing, with a focus on commercial banking. He also has experience in financing and project development in the energy and real estate sectors.
Chapin has worked on matters combining financing, development, and operation of solar, water, and related clean energy infrastructure projects, including impact and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) investment, private equity, carbon credits, and alternative funding. In addition, he has represented clients in real estate transactions regarding utilizing state and federal new market tax credits, historic tax credits, and low-income housing tax credits.
