Jordan Shewmaker represents clients in all aspects of complex commercial litigation and internal investigations.

Jordan has represented and advised clients in antitrust matters, administrative actions, health care litigation, product liability appeals, and defense of claims brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). He also assists clients with sensitive internal investigations, policy development, and compliance reviews in the United States and abroad.

Jordan maintains an active pro bono practice. He assisted Jones Day's Hate Crimes Task Force in efforts to combat illegal paramilitary and militia activity during the 2020 election.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Jordan served as a judicial law clerk on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. In addition to his legal experience, he has a background in nonprofit resource development, state and local government, and research focusing on health care law and political science.
