Irene Robledo advises clients on data protection law compliance. She has broad experience in the review and drafting of legal terms and conditions regarding the processing of personal data, privacy policies for consumers using software and mobile apps, and the provision of services agreements for the processing of personal data by a third party. Irene has produced legal opinions on the particularities of the concept of consent for the processing of data in Spain, access to personal data by third parties in due diligence processes, and international data transfers. She also acts for clients in the framework of sanctioning proceedings before the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
In addition, Irene has worked on international compliance programs and adaptation to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and on European studies on the impact of the new GDPR. On the cybersecurity front, Irene has participated in the design of prevention programs, first response plans, and management of claims derived from cyber risks. She also has advised clients in the drafting of cyber insurance policies and cover analysis.
Irene has conducted seminars and trainings for clients regarding cyber risks and the GDPR.
Irene is an adjunct professor on digital law & regulations in the Executive Master in Digital Transformation & Innovation Leadership program at IE University.
Irene serves on Jones Day's Diversity, Inclusion and Advancement Committee.
