Joe Payten advises clients on large, complex, and high-stakes cross-border disputes and crises in a range of jurisdictions.
Joe's experience as a commercial litigator includes acting for a financial institution in litigation proceedings in connection with allegations of bribery and corruption arising from the sale of the Formula One business and advising a large corporate on a multijurisdictional investigation by the United Kingdom's Serious Fraud Office into bribery and corruption in the energy sector. He also has advised clients on the civil, criminal, and reputational aspects of multijurisdictional crisis management and on regulatory and internal investigations.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Joe was an associate at a Magic Circle law firm in London.
