Robin Overby's practice focuses on representing clients in government procurement litigation and assisting clients with navigating government investigations and compliance with government requirements.
Robin has successfully represented clients in litigation before the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO), and the Civilian and Armed Services Boards of Contract Appeals.
Robin advises government contractor clients, both traditional and non-traditional, on False Claims Act matters and other compliance issues such as government and internal investigations, subpoena responses, mandatory disclosures, corporate transactions, data rights, suspension and debarment, and personal and security clearance applications and appeals.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2017, Robin served a two-year term as a law clerk for the Honorable Marian Blank Horn of the United States Court of Federal Claims. She also served as an Honors Attorney in the Office of General Counsel of Homeland Security, where she advised agency clients on government procurement matters including cradle-to-grave acquisition management, appropriations and fiscal law, data rights, software licensing, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Robin also represented the agency in litigation before GAO and the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals.
Robin maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in defensive asylum cases. She is currently serving as trial counsel for multiple clients in asylum proceedings before U.S. Immigration Courts across the country.
