Yoshitake Masuda has more than 20 years experience in international and domestic business transactions with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. He represents clients in various industries such as life sciences, energy, automobiles, and information technology. Yoshitake also has broad experiences in commercial transactions, such as international sales and distribution agreements and intellectual property agreements.
In addition, Yoshitake advises clients who are operating businesses in Japan on corporate governance matters and legal compliance matters under Japanese law. The legal compliance matters he covers includes laws and guidelines for the life sciences industry and for labor and employment. Further, his experience includes internal investigations and international and domestic dispute resolution.
Prior to joining Jones Day, he was a partner at a Japanese law firm in Tokyo. He also has two years of experience as an in-house legal counsel at a general trading company in Japan and has experience as a board member of a Japanese listed company.
